Farewell

Bread of Stone

It’s been a long time coming for this post. We have thought of timing, wording, and circumstances of when it would be appropriate with share this with each of you. After a while we have come to the realization that Bread of Stone has never been about finding the right time but just sharing what’s in our hearts in the moment in real time - so here we are :)

When we finished the set at our last show in Schaumburg, IL on March 1, 2020 we didn’t know we were walking off the stage or tearing down the merch for the last time. It was not by our choice - but the realization came slowly after 2020 and 2021 that the Lord’s timing is always right even when it does not make sense to us. We did not take Bread of Stone lightly, it was a great blessing and responsibility that the Lord had trusted us with. We came to the point where the Lord made it evident to us that He had already moved us on to a completely different season in life - shifting and leading us to places that are out of our comfort zone and pushing us farther than we ever thought possible. While music and ministry will always be a part of our lives we made the final decision in the beginning of 2022 to no longer take any bookings for live performance.

As many of you can imagine - this was not an easy decision by any means. Bread of Stone has been such a big part of our lives the past eighteen years and will continue to be. The ministry and the people that came along side and all the friends and family we met along the way will forever have such a special place in our hearts. ♥️

We want to say thank you to each of you reading this. If you are taking the time to read this long post you have most likely been a significant and influential person in our life and our ministry. We love and appreciate all the prayers, encouragement, supporting us and coming to shows, hosting concerts, supporting The Light Project through merchandise, feeding us, hanging out with us, and of course singing along with us over the years.

In many ways this is not an end…but a joyful continuation of the next chapter that just happens to not have as many notes and harmonies but the sound of LOVE will continue to echo in our hearts and in our daily walk for the rest of our lives in whatever this journey leads us to next.

We never planned a post like this being in our future but as we all know the curve balls that the Lord throws come swiftly and quickly.  We will forever thank Jesus for His blessings of Bread of Stone and all the lessons He taught us along the way. We are blessed that He would give us such an opportunity for so many years to serve Him in such a fun, powerful way. To God be the Glory!

God bless you all! -Bread of Stone
